How do I use TreeLitter?
It's EASY...
- Fill your litter box with 2-3 inches of TreeLitter
- For the best results, scoop solids daily
- Replace litter entirely every 7-10 days, or as needed
How many buckets do I need?
We recommend one bucket per cat.
Each bucket contains 30lbs of pellets and should last one cat up to 35 days with typical use.
How do I introduce TreeLitter to a picky cat?
While our litter is suitable for most cats right away, we understand others may take some convincing.
If your cat hesitates to use TreeLitter, you can mix in some of their previous litter to help them identify the new litter.
Tip: Adding a little bit of used litter will increase the chances your cat adopts TreeLitter.
Will TreeLitter work with all litter boxes?
TreeLitter works best in standard and sifting litter boxes.
At this time, we do not recommend using TreeLitter in any automated litter box.

What is TreeLitter made from?
TreeLitter is an eco-friendly cat litter made from 100% reclaimed spruce and aspen wood fibers.
The pellet casing is created by heating a natural adhesive found in wood fiber known as lignin.

Yes, TreeLitter is 100% safe and effective for use as cat litter.
If your cat decides to treat TreeLitter like a toy, you can offer a real toy in exchange to deter the behavior.
Please do not allow your children or pets to consume TreeLitter.
In the rare case your pet has an adverse reaction to our product(s), please seek veterinarian consultation.
Is TreeLitter safe for cats with allergies?
TreeLitter is typically well-tolerated by cats, including those with allergies. However, it's always advisable to consult with your veterinarian for specific allergy-related concerns.
How do I dispose of used litter?
TreeLitter is 100% biodegradable and compostable.
We do not add any chemicals, fragrance, or harmful binding agents to our pellets.
If you're unable to compost your TreeLitter, you may also choose to throw it away.
Please dispose of your litter responsibly — it means the world to us.
Subscriptions
How does the exchange work?
We make our deliveries at the beginning of each month to ensure your kitties have a regular supply of litter.
Simply leave your empty bucket outside your door for contactless delivery, or request contact delivery.
You will be notified of deliveries/exchanges via text or email.
How do I manage my subscription?
You may pause or cancel your subscription at anytime. Sign-in to your account to make changes to your subscription.
If you would like to add or remove items from your plan, or if you have any other inquiries, please contact our customer support team.
How do I return my bucket?
We'll send you a return ticket upon the cancellation of your subscription.

What happens to the returned buckets?
We take our Zero-Waste initiative very seriously. All returned or exchanged buckets will be sanitized for reuse, or recycled completely.
Reusing buckets allows us to offer you a Zero-Waste solution that saves time, money, and the planet.

How do you plant the Trees?
We collaborate with a trusted global organization to plant our trees.
This partnership allows us to plant trees anywhere in the world.
How many Trees have been planted so far?
Thanks to you and our planting partner, TreeLitter customers have planted over 200 trees.
We're a brand new start-up and we want to be as transparent as possible about our Tree Count to build our reputation.
We're working hard to bring you a live Tree Count, but please know this is not an easy task.
